Dr. Pirozzi – leaders and founder of PurplexCell – is a renowned expert in the field of stem cells and neurological disorders with over 15 years of experience. She holds a deep understanding of disease pathogenesis, genetic disorders, induced Pluripotent Stem Cells, in vitro models, and exploratory drug screenings.

Throughout her career, Dr. Pirozzi has made significant contributions to the field of stem cell research and development. Her PhD and postdoctoral work focused on the use of iPSCs and their neuronal derivatives as in vitro models of neurodevelopmental disorders for small scale pilot drug screenings. She has also broadened her expertise in human in vitro models of brain growth disorders, including epilepsy, during her time as a Senior Scientist at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. In her role as the Neuroscience Unit lead for a Seattle-based start-up, Dr. Pirozzi has been instrumental in helping biotech and pharmaceutical companies to advance their research and bring their cell therapy products to market. She has a proven track record in increasing efficiency, optimizing cell culture and differentiation protocols, generating partnerships, and negotiating sponsorships.
